Flexible, intentional, and neurodivergent affirming, cross-neurotype supportive couples therapy for those who are feeling stuck and feel like giving up yet hold onto hope to find help and meets you where you are at.
Your relationship is struggling. The patterns show up like this…
“We are always fighting.”
“We keep having the same fight.”
“Nothing ever changes.”
“I can’t talk about my feelings with them.”
“You never help out with…”
“I can’t trust them.”
“Why don’t you trust me?”
“They don’t value, care about, or appreciate me.”
Maybe one person gets quiet and the other person gets louder, maybe both people are loud, or both are quiet, or maybe some speak through their body language and the other speaks with the tone of their voice.
You have gone back and forth on whether or not to split apart.
You may be starting to question or have been questioning: “Are we meant for each other?”
They keep doing the same things that hurt or frustrate me.
They don’t understand my side.
They think I am a bad/needy person
I can’t talk about my feelings with them.
We are always fighting.
I love them, but I am just not sure how much longer I can keep going.
On the inside, you may be telling yourself things like this…
I want to trust them/I am trying to trust them.
I’m not valued or appreciated.
I love them, but I am just not sure how much longer I can keep going.
I can’t keep going.
They never see that I have tried/am trying.
I am exhausted
Fighting with your partner, friend, or loved one can leave us feeling furious, anxious, frustrated, lost, and confused. ALONE and OVERWHELMED.
The fighting between you and your parter is getting worse or maybe it’s been the same for a while. You feel misunderstood, leading to a loss of hope of how to move forward.
The way partners fight with one another can look very different in every relationship. Maybe one person gets quiet and the other person gets louder, maybe both people are loud, or both are quiet, or maybe some speak through their body language and the other speaks with the tone of their voice. Every person deserves to be heard.
Your parter asked you to do something, you don’t do it, and then they see you as not appreciating them or caring about them, but when you hear that, you think or defend yourself saying, that it couldn’t be further from the truth. Simply, it’s that your brain forgot about it and it was completely separate from caring.
Sometimes we don’t always realize the negative spiral we are in, we don’t know when or how it started, how the spiral gets triggered, or even what continues to contribute to it. We are wrapped up in it, spinning, and going in never-ending circles. We are both confused, but at the same time, we know that we are fighting for something. It is an exhausting fight.
